The A-7 Cable Commander detects
and traces virtually any metallic conduit by
electromagnetically sensing a high frequency signal that is
transmitted through the cable or pipe, either by direct
transmitter hookup or induction. Depth of the conductor can be
measured as well.
The high
frequency tone generated is displayed on a meter as well as
converted to audio for simultaneous monitoring by loudspeaker.
The model A-7 is is easy to learn and
operate with its gun-like design and light weight. Five output
settings on the transmitter permit matching and miss-matching
to the impedance of the conductor for maximum effectiveness.
The transmitter signal output is variable from 17 volts to 270
volts.
The A-7 system includes the receiver,
transmitter, induction coil antenna, ground plate assembly,
and foam lined carrying case. |
