Comprehensive,
multi-function, test stations are produced by combining the
various individual instruments into one unit with common test
output connections.
Generally configured
to provide the three basic Safety Tests - Earth Bond, Flash
Test and Insulation Measurement - with optional Load Test
facility, these instruments offer space saving, ease of use
and significantly increased product throughput. Three basic
operating systems are available.
1. Manual
Where each test is selected by
individual push-button. Saves on the clutter of individual
instruments. More suited to diagnostic and re-set situations
but can prove useful in many low volume applications.
2. Semi-Automatic, or
'One-Shot'
Where the sequence of safety tests are
initiated by application of the Earth probe. Then, as each
test 'passes', the control circuit steps onto the next test.
When all tests are satisfactorily completed, the green PASS
lamp on the Earth probe will light. Any optional Load Tests
are then applied manually. This type of instrument allows
increased throughput within the traditional low to medium
volume manufacturing environments.
3. Automatic
Usually associated with high throughput
production environments. Can be integrated into most modern
production systems, where central control and data logging are
additional requirements for Quality Assurance, production
control and proof of conformance. Generally these instruments
are again combinations of standard tests but with customized
control and interfacing, to suit the specific application.
All three instrument types can be
readily configured for use with Safety Enclosures and Test
Fixtures, providing not only easier testing but greater
operator safety to meet today's emphasis on Health and Safety
at Work issues.
From the range of available test
combinations and associated options, Clare Comprehensive Test
Stations can be manufactured to satisfy all relevant British,
European and other, recognized, international product testing
legislation. |
