Haefely AC Transformer Cascade Type PSZ Features and Benefits
  • Test Transformer upgradeable up to 1,600kV, partial discharge free (<2pC).
  • Very low short circuit impedance even in cascade arrangement protects the high voltage windings in case of test object flash-over.
  • Transformer modules are available from 300 to 500kV and 1 to 4A.
  • Suitable for applied and induced voltage testing.
  • Movable by air-cushions, less space requirement compared to tank type transformers because of absence of high voltage bushing.

 

 

 
Applications
  • Test objects of medium capacitive load.
  • Inductive load test objects (inductive voltage transformers).
  • Test objects with variable load (heavy corona, wet and pollution tests).
